Jeremy Corbyn once again shows himself to be an unprincipled and shameless propagandist for unsavoury regimes and murderous, kleptomaniac dictators. He attacks Trump (rightly) for simply condemning violence ‘on both sides’ at the Charlottesville demonstration where a demonstrator was killed by a white supremacist. But thinks it ‘s fine to have taken exactly the same line himself over the Venezuelan regime’s mass-murderous atrocities.
Update 18.02: Trump has just clarified his position: “Racism is evil and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs.” He also told reporters that the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis and white supremacists were “repugnant” to everything Americans held dear.
Can we now expect Saint Jeremy to clarify his own position to admit that he was wrong to praise the Maduro regime and unreservedly to condemn a dictatorial junta that arrests and murders opponents, rigs elections, has reduced an oil-rich economy to ruins through ideological incompetence, and that has stolen billions of Dollars from its people?
